4) I think that the first time I ever really talked to you individually rather than in the context of the table was one icy evening first year where I was coming back from somewhere and I ran into you in front of Morris house, disheartenedly wavering across the slick ground and trying not to fall over, and I helped you back to our side of campus. You kept thanking me and I told you that it would be a boring trip if the conversation consisted of nothing but you thanking me and me saying you're welcome, and you pointed out that I could thank you, and so I did, and then the ice was broken, if you'll pardon the turn of phrase.
