The library anniversary was totally and completely awesome. SSFFS meeting was fun (I got to play Zen Scavenger Hunt. I like Zen Scavenger Hunt), and then alums were showing up, and I had dinner with Jane Yolen, and hung out with 9 others of my crazy friends all dressed as various incarnations of Doctor Who. And Jane Yolen's speech was excellent (she read to us from Heart's Blood) as was the Q&A session.

And by the way I recorded her entire speech and intend to give it to Kelly to put up on the web site along with ellirpa's pictures. Audio only, but the quality is surprisingly good, if a little quiet.

And the shirts came in. I ordered them 8 days before, and they told me that it would take them two weeks to complete the order, so I had resigned myself to not having the shirts for the event. And then they called me yesterday morning to tell me that the shirts were ready. I should probably send them a letter telling them how much I appreciated the quick turn-around time. Also, the shirts look very nice.

All in all, it was a wonderful evening.


In other news, I need to figure out a way to sleep past 7:30am on weekends.
