NPR podcasts are pretty amazing.

I'm sitting here in Spain, looking at Granada pictures (yes, a Granada post is coming for spainsquirrel, but I took 300 pictures in Granada and lots of them are good, so it takes a bit), listening to my childhood talk about current US politics.

What should I listen to after A Prairie Home Companion? Mom says that only the first forty minutes are worthwhile.

I regularly listen to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and Splendid Table.

At Smith, when I wasn't getting enough news, I tried to work it so that i would listen to the 5 minute version of the morning headlines as i was getting dressed, but it was eventually difficult to get it downloaded in time to listen to it regularly.

There was a while when my alarm clock was set to npr and I was getting up at such a time as to get a few headlines while starting the morning without being immersed in news, but then I stopped getting that radio station. Or no, my alarm clock decided that it wanted to beep, instead. I did figure out this summer why it beeped. Now I don't remember, though.
