3rdragonSo, as a break from working on my specfic paper (which actually feels pretty close to done at the moment), I think I'll do some more typing and answer the character meme that's been floating around.
1) Choose one of your own characters.
2) Make them answer the following questions.

Jaclyn, from Victoriana, and Mara, who was I used to play a lot and don't particularly anymore.
1) What gender are you?
Both: Female.
2) What is your age?
Mara: 19. Unless you're talking about the instance in which I'm 12.
Jaclyn: Um, 24. Ish.
3) Do you want a hug?
Mara: Sure.
Jaclyn: From whom?
4) Do you have any bad habits?
J: If you mean things like stealing for a living, yes.
M: I can't think of any that are particularly bad.
5) What is your favorite food?
M: Those pastries they make in Ixa with the meat inside. I think the chicken ones are best.
J: Er, there was that one piece of meat that was really good. I don't know what it was, though.
7) Are you a virgin?
J: Excuse me! Just because I'm a thief and sometimes wear pants doesn't mean that I'm not a respectable woman.
M: Calm down over there. No. Unless we're talking about the 12-year-old, in which case, yes.
8) Have you killed anyone?
J: No.
M: I'm not sure. There have been some bandits a couple of times . . .
9) Do you hate anyone?
M: Yes.
J: Hate is sort of a luxury - I try to avoid that sort of thing.
10) Do you have any secrets?
J: I wish. But no, we had to go and tell half of London!
M: Not really.
11) What is your favorite season?
M: Fall
J: Summer
12) Who are your best friends?
M: Friends? Um, I don't really have any. The 12-year-old does, though.
J: What do you mean, best friend? I guess there's Ramon and the Cap'n.
13) What are your hobbies?
M: Sleight of hand. And embroidery.
J: Er, I carve things sometimes. I'm not used to having so much free time. I never used to when I was a kid.
14) What is your favorite drink?
M: Cider.
J: Fresh milk is really nice. And the wine they serve at the better taverns is pretty good.
15) When is your birthday?
J: If I knew that, I'd be able to tell you how old I am, wouldn't I?
M: The third day of spring.
17) Are you nice or mean?
M: Nice, I suppose.
J: . . .
18) What do you think of your creator?
Both: Wait, are we talking about god(s) or 3rDragon?
19) What is your weakness?
J: People with long swords. Or large sticks. Or big clubs. Or really, anything bigger than a knife. Also, the police.
M: . . . I can't sing?
21) What do you do on a regular day basis?
M: Travel, and do shows. I usually stay in a big town during the winter.
J: Burn porridge and fish Ramon out of the river.
22) Does anyone love you?
J: What kind of a question is that?
M: My parents, I suppose. Maybe [the horse]. I'm not always sure about him, though.
23) What do you consider fun in the day time?
M: I like wandering around and seeing things, trying to figure out how other performers do their tricks, trying new food if I've got the money for it.
J: This sounds an awful lot like that question about hobbies, actually.
24) At night?
M: I'm asleep, generally. Although sometimes the big cities have some kind of nightlife.
J: If we're not on a job, we generally hang out at the Crow's Crown. I guess that's fun.
25) Are you gay?
M: I'm not picky, certainly.
J: Who has time for romance?
26) What is your place of origin?
J: Probably one of the back alleys of London.
M: I was born in Jein, but my mother's family is from Ixa.

J: Dead. At least, my mother is.
M: Street performers and traveling players.

M: Yes. It's wool and itchy.
