Last night was the first time in a long time that I woke up before the alarm feeling fully rested. Not surprisingly, I dreamed:
In the dream I was having just before I woke up, SSFFS was having some sort of movie showing, and one of the first-years (by which I mean a person who, in my dream, was a first-year, but not an actual SSFFS first-year) showed up to wherever I was hanging out (which, in the dream, was a common hangout place, but doesn't actually exist) to tell me that the first-year running the event, who might have been named Kim, was having some sort of difficulty. And I was feeling grumpy because this meant that I needed to hobble down to wherever we were showing the movie, which was in some nonexistent location on Green Street, and why couldn't someone else deal with it, and then it occurred to me that Mel had probably told them that if she wasn't around and they had problems with technology they should go get me. So it was still somewhat annoying to walk the whole way, but it at least made sense because I'm like the Ghostbusters of 6-ft screens and it sounded like there wasn't anyone around who knew what to do.
There was a dream before that, too, which I don't remember much of except for deciding that $\mu$ was a constant that happened to be the measure of a small giraffe, so I should make a giraffe-shaped ceramic object that one could plant seeds in so that when the seeds grew, the entire thing would have length $\mu$ and be mathematically significant, a sort of mathematically noteworthy giraffe-shaped Chia pet. I don't know what I was planning to do about the legs, though, which are really the difficulty when it comes to making ceramic giraffes.
