In good news, Eleanor says that the twon buses should still be running, and that that's on a different schedule. Still, I'm not relaxing until I have proof that there will be a bus then.
In terms of other options: Peter Pan has buses from Noho to Amherst for about $5, but the earliest one on Saturdays doesn't arrive until after my train leaves. The change that makes in my options is to pay $5 to take a 10:30pm bus on Friday instead of a free 7:30 bus. Also, it's nice to know that the daily jolt keeps their list of taxi services updated. I have now called the entire list, and got: -One person, who told me that her cab service was situated in Greenfield, and that I needed to call Northampton Cab. There's no Northampton Cab on the list of phone numbers, and the top google hits end in .co.uk . Not useful. If I only had a phone book that would help! -Two answering machines. I am not in the mood to leave messages trying to figure out the hypothetical price of a cab fare from Noho to Amherst. -A whole lot of that phone lady saying, "The number you have called, 4-1-3, whatever-whatever-whater, four-more-numbers, is not in service."
In short, I am NOT in a good mood, and this is probably not a good way to go to fencing practice. Also, I need to try to settle down and get some homework done.
