The movie version of 2001: A Space Odyssey isn't nearly as good as the book anyway. I find the ending a little weird in both versions, but in the book it at least makes some kind of sense. In the movie it's just kinda "huh?" At least I think so anyway. Family reunion sounds interesting. I'm going to a similar thing soon; one of my uncles is getting re-married late in August. My parents think it's a good time to "present" Brian to that side of the family, since they'll be focussed on someone else's wedding, although there was an iffy moment when my mom asked her mom if she was invited to the wedding, and the response was, "Oh, it's just going to be the immediate family." !
