Okay - the short explanation: I'm doing NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, in which you attempt to write a 50,000 word novel over the course of November. That's how close I am to getting to 50,000 words. Or rather, that's how close I was yesterday morning; I'm further along now.

I have modified the challenge a little bit; I'm counting spainsquirrel entries as part of the wordcount, too (for various reasons, but mostly for my wrists and my sanity).
